Decolor

DESCRIPTION

DECOBASE Cu KONCENTRAT is a product (in liquid form) ment for the preparation of the coating/impregnation for wood for its basic/preventive wood protection against biological pests, wood insects, blue stain fungi and wood-decay fungi.

It is used as a first layer or base protection for new wood intended for making roofs, fences, terraces, log houses, facade linings, builders’ joinery (windows, doors, shutters etc.).

The impregnation soaks into the wood very well; active substances affix in 24 hours.

Wood exposed to weather or atmospheric influences should be additionally protected with water repellent (transparent) coatings (Decostone SW, Decostone SW Super) or with a glaze coating from the Decolazur product range; with this procedure (Decolazur) we also decoratively paint wood into the desired hue (14 hues), improve its resistance against effects of weather and UV rays and simultaneously create a barrier so that biocides cannot come into contact with the environment.

CHARACTERISTICS

  • Basic, preventive protection for new wood (mainly structural woodwork) against biological pests, wood insects, blue stains and decay
  • Effective active substances
  • Active substances affix in 24 hours
  • Does not create a layer and binds with the wood
  • Suitable for all types of wood
  • Certificate from the Ljubljana Biotechnical Faculty

USE

Instructions for Work: Decobase Cu concentrate must be, before use, diluted with water in ratio 1:5,5. Ready to use (that is diluted with water) impregnation can be applied to healthy, clean and dry wood (max 20% humidity content). The optimum temperature for work is between +5°C to +35°C, relative humidity must not exceed 85%. During work, use suitable protective clothing (suitable goggles, gloves, overalls, footwear). Do not apply the product onto wood that is intended to be in contact with animals or feedstuffs (beehive, manger, sauna etc.).

Hues: Brown and green (other hues available by order).

Coverage: 1 kg of impregnation (diluted with water) is suitable for preserving approx. 5m2 of surface. The coverage depends on the type and quality of the wood (humidity), its surface treatment and method of application. Larger coverage means higher wood protection.

Drying: Approximately 3 hours. Drying time depends on the temperature of the atmosphere when product is being applied and wood humidity. Coating with water repellent (transparent) coatings (Decostone SW, Decostone SW Super) or Decolazur finish/glaze coat is recommended after min. 24 hours.
